Surface Decoration Workshop: Decorating with Slips
April 26, 2:00-5:00 PM: Open to current members and students.
Give your ceramic surfaces greater depth and visual interest by exploring and layering a variety of slip decoration techniques.
In this class, you’ll learn how to make your own slip transfers using colored slips and stencils, as well as create and cut newspaper stencils for unique surface patterns. We’ll also experiment with slip trailing to add texture and dimension to your work.
All materials will be provided, including clay slabs to work on during class. Once your pieces have been bisque fired, you will be responsible for glazing them to complete your projects.
