Who can be a member?
- Membership at Kokanee Clay Studio is for clay artists who are already familiar with the process of creating with clay and can work independently without instruction. Absolute beginners should start with one of our introductory classes.
- This option is perfect for makers who create with clay but don't want to buy a pottery wheel and other equipment or fire a kiln.
- Those with previous clay experience in a full-session class or at another studio may join after touring the studio.
- After signing up, we'll schedule a 1-hour orientation that covers our studo policies, procedures, and etiquette. This is to encourage an environment that's safe and pleasant for everyone.
- If you have already taken a class at Kokanee Clay Studio you will not be required to attend an orientation prior to signing up for membership.
- Kokanee Clay Studio membership is not for production potters creating a high volume of work.
What's included?
All tiers of membership include use of the studio equipment, tools, glazes, and firing of work. Non-flex members receive one free bag of clay upon sign-up. You can choose from 4 levels of membership depending on your needs and budget, from 14 hours per month to 24/7 access. Open Access membership is for teens who are not yet 18-years-old.
Our premium tier of membership also includes reserved shelf space and a storage locker.

KCS membership is a great option for people who want to be part of a creative community and don't want to maintain a private studio and equipment. At KCS you won't have to worry about buying a wheel, mixing glazes, or loading and firing a kiln, and you can choose the membership tier that best fits your budget and availability.

Open Studio
$125/month
Use the studio during open business hours. This basic membership is for teens, and includes 10 hours of studio time per month. Those ages 16-17 may purchase this open studio membership after completing a 6-10 week class.
Anytime Access (wait-listed)
$175/month*
Use the studio any time, day or night. This membership includes 14 hours of studio time per month and 24/7 access to the studio via a personal key fob. Available to those 18+ after taking a class or completing the studio orientation.

Endless Hours
$240/month*
Use the studio any time 24/7 with no limit on hours. To those 18+ after taking a class or completing the studio orientation.
Endless Hours Premium
$275/month*
Use the studio any time 24/7 with no limit on hours. This premium membership is bundled with a locker and reserved shelf space (36"x24") for storing your in-progress work, at a discount of $10 per month. Available to those 18+ after taking a class or completing the studio orientation.
Flex Memberships
$215 and $260/month
We also offer new Flex memberships, designed for members who don't want to end up back on the waiting list if they choose to take a class. Flex memberships work well for those who want to switch back and forth between membership and taking quarterly classes with no gap in access, and pay one convenient, monthly price.
Available to established student or members 18 and older, with a minimum commitment of 3-months or the end of the current quarter if enrolled in a class.
Must be 16-17 years old to purchase an Open Studio membership. Must be 18+ to purchase Anytime Access and Endless Hours. 2-month minimum commitment.
